  • Walkers Crisps are to sponsor Scottish Television’s new music show, Chart Bite. The deal makes full use of the relaxation in the ITC Sponsorship Code, giving the sponsor 15-second opening credits, five-second break bumper credits and 10-second end credits.
  • Chrysalis is to sponsor the National Basketball cup finals in Sheffield on 5 March.

APPOINTMENTS

  • Henry van Wyk, UK ad director of the Reader’s Digest has been promoted to ad director for Reader’s Digest Europe. He will be replaced by Nick Handley, and replaces David Beattie.
  • Young and Rubicam has promoted two members of its media department. Tessa Beese becomes media group manager, and Peter Thomson is to become Head of Press.
