Sport First Gears For Launch Again

Sport First , the daily sports newspaper which has been trying to launch since last year, is gearing up for a launch within the next few months.

The six-day per week four-colour broadsheet, edited by Bob Harris, is aiming to raise around £4.5m through a placing document with stockbroker I A Pritchard. The title, if and when it launches, would have a cover-price of 40p and a print-run of around 300,000. While the most of the editorial plans appear to have been in place for some time, Sport First is keen to establish a sound financial position before a launch is announced.
