St Luke’s Is ‘Agency Of The Year’

St Luke’s has won Campaign‘s 1997 Agency of the Year award, after seeing off competition from the likes of BMP DDB and Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe. According to the magazine the agency had put in an “outstanding all-round performance”.

Elsewhere, Michaelides & Bednash won the Media Agency prize despite the fact that it does not buy media. Campaign said that the firm’s “exceptional performance and industry-leading position” put it above MediaVest.

FHM won the Medium of the Year award for “breaking out of the lads’ niche” to become the “industry’s yardstick” while the Volkswagen ‘Affordability’ campaign by BMP DDB was named as Campaign of the Year.

Media Week named Michaelides and Bednash as Agency of the Year while the Teletubbies and Perfect Day meant the BBC was named as Media Owner of the Year. Orange won the award for Advertiser of the Year.
