Stadium Advertising Group Announces Rebrand

MZUK, the UK’s largest supplier of stadium advertising, has today relaunched as SportsRevolution after recieving an extra £2.5 million to boost its presence at the nation’s top sporting events.

The contractor currently supplies outdoor advertising to the Football League and a number of high-profile Premier League clubs including Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United.

SportsRevolution will offer advertisers a wide range of illuminated 6-sheets, restroom panels, large video screens and preimeter boards, as well as leaflet, programme and ticket advertising at events.

Commenting on the rebrand, Mike Hodges, managing director of SportsRevolution, said: “The success we have had over the last three years of trading as MZUK has firmly established our position as the leading media owner in the sporting stadia advertising industry. SportsRevolution will retain the credibility we have within the industry and will help us to achieve our ambitions for further expansion.”

Last month SportsRevolution secured rights to provide exclusive advertising at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, home to many of the nation’s top sporting events including international football and rugby, the FA Cup Final, Carling Cup Final and Football League play-off matches.

The rebranding follows growing competition in the sports advertising industry. Earlier this year BLM launched a dedicated sports marketing division aiming to be fully operational by September. BLM’s new venture claims to provide a client first approach to commercial dealings, rather than simply matching budgets to events to exploit the role that sports play in the media mix (see BLM Launches Dedicated Sports Marketing Division).
