Stakeholder Withdraws From Radio Ireland Consortium
Thomas Crosbie Holdings (T.C.H.L), has withdrawn from the Radio Ireland Consortium within which it had a 15% stake. T.C.H.L. stated that it has quit the Consortium as a result of “specific concerns which emerged in recent negotiations between the Independent Radio and Television Commission, I.R.T.C, and Radio Ireland.”
The I.R.T.C, however, wish to make it clear that the decision of T.C.H.L to withdraw from the Consortium was taken of their own accord. The I.R.T.C claim that it is “entirely wrong to suggest that they put any impediment in the way of their involvement as shareholders in the station.”
The I.R.T.C. also say that all other aspects of Radio Ireland, the planned radio station for Ireland, are going to plan.
