News International has cut the cover price of the Sun to just 10p in the Carlton television region, starting today. The promotion applies to every edition of the red-top paper and is set to run indefinitely. The Sun currently has a circulation of 3.7 million, making it Britain’s most-read daily newspaper.
The cut in price for the Sun comes just a month after the Office of Fair Trading found News International to have acted anti-competitively in its ‘predatory pricing’ techniques for the Times (see OFT Puts News International On Notice Following Predatory Pricing
