The Sun is to sponsor Yorkshire Television’s new series of Bruce’s Price is Right. The series, which will run for 17 weeks from tonight is based on The Price is Right. The Sun is supporting the series with a game card promotion offering readers the chance to win £20,000 per week.

Sally Kingston, Sponsorship Manager for Yorkshire and Tyne Tees at Laser, who negotiated the deal, commented, “News International’s previous experience with sponsorship of ITV programmes has shown them that it is an excellent means of reinforcing brand loyalty among their target audiences. Bruce’s Price is Right is lively, fun and will be very popular – making it a perfect fit with the Sun.”

… Following the announcement last week that News of the World editor Piers Morgan is leaving to take over as editor at the Daily Mirror, News International has confirmed that Phil Hall, currently deputy editor of the News of the World, is to become editor.
