The Sun is to return as sponsor of ITV’s Play Your Cards Right, following its sponsorship in 1994. The new series begins a 16-week run at 7pm on Friday 10 February, with new sponsorship credits. The sponsorship will be supported with off-air game cards distributed in the Sun.
ITV research into the 1994 sponsorship showed that 19% of Play Your Cards Right viewers had tried the game in the Sun and 55% of these were not regular Sun readers. The Sun’s circulation increased by 250,000 during the sponsorship. This is the latest in a multi-game show deal with ITV and News International which includes Wheel of Fortune and Lucky Numbers.
