Sunday Business Sells 145,000 Copies

The Sunday Business claims it sold 145,608 copies of its launch edition this Sunday. Agencies were told the paper has an intended circulation of 450,000 copies, and an advertiser’s guarantee of 150,000. According to an unofficial survey carried out by Marketing magazine, around 79% of copies were sold in Surrey, whereas in some London areas only 13-15% of copies were sold, compared with 39% in the Home Counties.

However, this figure was achieved without any promotional activity last weekend due to the sudden withdrawal by the Sunday Business’ original agency, Arc Advertising. Providing Sunday Business can secure the finances, a television commercial is planned for this weekend.
