According to unofficial estimates the new Sunday episode of Coronation Street was watched by 15.2 million viewers, around the average for its normal Wednesday episode. It was up against The Antiques Roadshow on BBC1 which attracted 10.9 million viewers.
ITV’s period drama Emma was watched by a peak of 12.5 million while the BBC1 film Beethoven achieved around 12 million viewers during the same slot
