Sunday Telegraph Magazine To Have May Relaunch

The Sunday Telegraph Magazine is to become the latest title to follow the trend for redesigns among national newspapers. It will relaunch on 19 May in a new, all-glossy format with a separate, pocket-sized TV and radio guide.

The size of the new design magazine will be slightly smaller than the current one, at 310x240mm, and the first issue will run to 84 pages. The pocket-size dimensions of the TV guide will be 235x185mm and offer advertising opportunities alongside full 7-day listings for terrestrial, cable and satellite stations. Sponsorship opportunities in the form of supplements will still be available.

Chris White-Smith, display advertising director at the Telegraph Group, said: “By building on the core strengths of fashions shoots, celebrity interviews, food and home & living features, we are offering an enhanced opportunity for advertisers.”

For the March 2001 – February 2002 period, NRS figures for the Telegraph Magazine showed a year on year improvement in readership of over 4%, reaching over 1.75m. However, this was still below the readership for the same period in 1999/2000 of 1.9m.
