Sunset Recievers Apply For Licence

The Radio Authority has received 17 applications for the Manchester FM & AM licences, including an application from the receivers handling Sunset Radio. Sunset, the current holder of the FM licence, ceased broadcasting at the end of August when the station’s electricity supply was cut off as a result of unpaid bills. The station has since been placed in the hands of receivers.

The AM licence is for a frequency recently vacated by the BBC. Details of the bidders for both licences will be available on MediaTel shortly.
