Speculation mounted at the weekend that Chime Communications, the public-relations group headed by Sir Tim Bell, was in takeover talks with Howell Henry Chaldecott Lury. It is reported that Chime would be looking to spend up to £20m on acquiring HHCL, best known for its work with Martini and Tango. Chime owns nine businesses, including Lowe Bell Good Relations.
