Talk Radio Opens Manchester Sales Office

Talk Radio has announced that it has set up a regional sales office in Manchester as part of a strategy to take control of its own sales effort ahead of the launch of its Scottish Macro service in April.

Julia Upton takes the role of regional sales controller at the new unit, which began operating from Manchester’s Picadilly from the beginning of the week.

Until now, Talk Radio’s regional sales were handled by Media Sales Network (MSN). Tim Bleakley, sales director at Talk Radio commented: “MSN have done a sterling job for the station and their commitment was never in doubt, however Talk’s future is ambitious and expansive and we feel it is time to take sales in house.”
