TDI Sales Rise 43%
TDI, the company which bought London Transport Advertising when it was privatised two years ago, has seen revenues from transport media sales increase by more than a third in its first full year of ownership. It is also predicted that 1996 sales will double the size of the 1994 business it bought from the Government.
Total TDI revenues increased by 43% in 1995 over 1994 to £34.5 million, with advertising sales rising by 35% to £32.5 million. The figures include a six-week contribution from British Transport Advertising’s bus contracts, bought by TDI towards the end of 1995 from Maiden Outdoor. Bus advertising increased by 48% and London Underground, the world’s largest single media sales contract, grew significantly in 1995 with growth of 31%.
Jeremy Male, TDI’s managing director, forecasts sales of nearly £50 million in 1996.
