Telegraph Fashions Sponsorship Deal With River Island

The Telegraph Group has secured sponsorship from the River Island Clothing Company for a forthcoming fashion supplement, due to be the biggest ever produced by the newspaper on 13 March.

The deal, negotiated by the group’s strategic planner, Dorota Key, represents the second time the two companies have worked together on the Telegraph magazine’s fashion supplement, which claims to attract more than twice as many readers as any of the women’s magazines.

Commenting on the deal Key said: “The campaign has made River Island and its lines highly appealing to Telegraph magazine’s readership. The company has worked closely with fashion director Daniella Agnelli, who was responsible for the four-page advertorial shoot that sits well with the stylish feel of the magazine.”

Several elite fashion houses will advertise within the supplement including: Louis Vuitton, Prada and Chanel. Richard Bradbury, River Island’s managing director stated: “The Daily Telegraph is part of a targeted contact strategy for our customer base and we are pleased to be able to continue this.”

Last month the Telegraph Group secured £500,000 worth of deals with a range of foreign tourist commissions and travel companies to sponsor their own special supplement in the Daily and Sunday Telegraph (see Telegraph Bags Sponsors For Travel Supplements).
