A new news stream, rolling coverage of the latest stories and access to enhanced sports data are just a few of the key features that The Telegraph has rolled out on to its new website.
Unveiled on Thursday, the new site has been designed to be fully responsive to ensure it is both desktop and mobile optimised – with the revamp aiming for a “less cluttered” feel that is more user-friendly.
News, business and sports homepages will now feature rolling coverage in chronological order – with its sports section including live scores on mobile and in-depth statistics for every Premier League team.
In addition, new topic pages that collect Telegraph journalism from across a range of desks will be able to be accessed via tags at the bottom of articles, while a new video destination page is set to arrive in the near future.
The redesign comes the same week that News UK announced The Times and The Sunday Times will combine their digital editions to come together as one website and smartphone app.
The change in strategy for the News UK titles will see one edition published at 9am, followed by updates at noon and 5pm. On weekends the edition updates will be released at noon and 6pm.
It is also a departure from the “rolling news” model which News UK said is based on “intensive” customer research that shows readers come to the platforms at set points of the day.
