Combined ITV/C4 revenue for December, based on agency estimates, came in at £155.94m, a decrease on last December’s total of 0.6%. The ITV only figure was £119.22m, a decrease of 3.7%; Channel 4 however, at £36.7m was up by 11.3% on last year. The ITV:C4 ratio for December was good news for Channel 4, at 76:24.

Among the individual contractors, both Carlton and Meridian had their lowest share of the year, at 14.65% and 10.69% respectively. This poor performance by Carlton, meant overall London share was down by 1.18% points on last December to 27.06%. LWT increased share to 12.41%; although it had an extra trading day in the month, this was its best performance of the year.

Yorkshire Tyne Tees and Scottish both performed well, leaving the remaining contractors with not much difference in share from last year.
