Telewest Launches First Blueyonder TV Promotion

Telewest Broadband is launching the first TV ad campaign to promote its Blueyonder broadband internet service.
The ads, which will run across Flextech channels including Bravo, Trouble and Challenge, are designed to appeal to dial-up internet subscribers that are considering upgrading to a broadband connection.
Up until the end of last year broadband had been relatively slow to take hold in the UK and Telewest is hoping the ads will make consumers more aware of the increased speed of broadband connections.

Broadband represents a huge growth area for companies such as Telewest and research from Datamonitor suggests that broadband connections throughout Europe could see a four-fold increase by 2006 (see Last Year’s Broadband Boom Kick-Starts Uptake).
