Telewest Launches Outdoor And Radio Ad Campaign

Telewest Broadband is launching a national outdoor and radio advertising campaign to promote its new ‘Talk International’ telephone package.
The four week-long campaign, which breaks later this month, will cover over 2,500 outdoor sites and will be supported by radio advertising across the GWR and Virgin networks. The promotion, which uses the strapline: “Talk the hind leg off a kangaroo”, is designed to promote Telewest’s discounted call rates to Australia.
David Hobday, deputy managing director of Telewest Broadband, commented: “We are proving that it doesn’t have to be expensive to keep in touch with friends and family abroad.”
Earlier this year Telewest launched a cut price self-installation broadband package, to tempt its digital TV customers to switch to broadband (see Telewest Promotes Broadband With Further Price Cuts).
The popularity of broadband services continues to grow and new findings from Oftel reveal that 84% of internet customers are now aware of high-speed services and their merits, compared to just over 50% in February 2002 (see UK Broadband Revolution Gathers Pace).
