TeleWest Communications has announced that it has secured a £1.2 billion loan. TeleWest, which is the UK’s largest cable company, will use the money primarily to finance the completion of its build programme. To date around 50% of TeleWest’s cable network is completed.
TeleWest’s latest financial results (Newsline 16/05) showed that the company had lost £53.4m in the first quarter of this year.
