Future Publishing is planning to add a new title to the music magazine sector; The Band will be targeting at musicians who want to form a band, play live and record their own music. It aims to offer readers an in-depth analysis of the music business; offering advice on how to record masters right through to booking gigs, band promotion and securing the coveted recording contract. There will also be equipment reviews and a contacts directory.
Editor Tim Tucker, former editor of Total Guitar magazine, commented: “It will be a focal point for all practicing musicians – the ultimate guide to making it in music.”
The Band will go on sale on June 5 this year, priced £2.50. The title will have an initial print-run of 50,000; Future expects a settle-down circulation of 20,000 copies.
