Following the departure of John Mulholland for Sporting Life (see New Editor For Sporting Life), The Guardian has promoted Kamal Ahmed to media editor for the newspaper. Ahmed moves from his current position as media correspondent.
He will be responsible for editing the Media Guardian section and overseeing the media coverage in all areas of the paper. He takes up the post on 1 June. A replacement media correspondent is currently being sought.
