According to the second research study compiled for the PPA and launched at Magazines ’93, the CTN sector has a very high share of the news business (83%) compared with its share of other core products such as tobacco (50%).

The study, entitled ‘The profitability of magazine selling’ reveals that the PR case for magazines is strong, especially through independent CTNs.
