Last night saw the return of Dragons’ Den to BBC Two at 9pm, and the business reality show picked up a peak of three million adult viewers, a 13.6% share of the audience.
The show had an average audience of 2.8 million adult viewers (a 12.5% share) who stuck with it for its hour duration.
However, although it performed admirably, it was by no means the winner in the 9pm slot, with New Tricks on BBC One and Doc Martin on ITV1 both beating it in the ratings battle.
The classic episode of New Tricks, starring Dennis Waterman, had a peak audience of 3.2 million adults (a 14.7% share) and a 3.2 million adult average adult audience.
Over on ITV1 at 9pm, the Martin Clunes comedy-drama Doc Martin, had a very impressive peak of 7.7 million adult viewers (a 35% share).
Last night’s episode saw Louisa become furious when she discovered she had a rival for Dr Ellingham’s affections, the glamorous divorcee and hotel owner, Carrie Wilson.
The show had an average audience of 7.6 million adults (a 34.3% share).
