Ticketmedia Nets £5m Ad Contract

Ticketmedia, the ticket advertising group, has been awarded a five year advertising contract for London Underground tickets worth an estimated £5m.

The group, who will have the exclusive rights to market and sell ticket advertising on London Underground from 1 October, was awarded the contract by Viacom Outdoor, who handle all advertising and sponsorship opportunities on the Underground and DLR.

Marketing director of Ticketmedia, Martin Henson, said: “The London Underground  contract is a major addition to our transport portfolio. Ticketmedia can now offer advertisers a comprehensive one-stop-shop for all transit ticket opportunities.”

Head of franchise and development at Viacom Outdoor, Dapo Obatusin, added: “Ticketmedia have proven that they are specialists in ticket advertising. We look forward to major growth in this key London media opportunity.”

Senior Account executive Susannah Shiner will head up the new sales operation, working with a team of ten. She will report to Ticketmedia managing director, Frank Lane.
