TiVo Launches £3m Ad Campaign

TiVo is launching a £3m marketing campaign to drive sales of its personal video recorder (PVR), which will be sold at a reduced price in the run up to Christmas.
The campaign aims to raise awareness of the lifestyle benefits of the TiVo PVR system and will include print, cinema and online advertising. Ads appeared in print media on 29 September and in will run in cinemas from 19 October.
TiVo’s product marketing manager, Matthew George, said: “This is the next stage in developing our message to the consumer. After initially focussing on product features, the new campaign will educate consumers about Tivo’s lifestyle benefits and in particular how TiVo fits into their own lives.”
Bates UK did the creative work for the campaign, which is based on feedback from the initial marketing push earlier in the year (see TiVo Plans £4m Marketing Campaign For July). Media was developed and bought by Universal McCann.
