TNT & Cartoon Network Pan-European Survey
TNT and Cartoon Network have recently released the results of the third Pan- European Media survey, conducted by Simon Priest & Associates.
The survey was conducted in seven European countries; UK, Belgium, Germany, Holland, Spain, Poland and Sweden and a total of 4200 people took part. 500 interviews with TNT & Cartoon Network receivers, both adults and children were conducted in each country along with 100 non-receivers per country.
Key Findings for Cartoon Network:
* 34% of children said Cartoon Network was their favourite channel (MTV was second).
* Cartoon Network has an 85% viewership in the UK.
* More than 70% of children watch Cartoon Network with a parent or sibling and approximately 36% of Cartoon Network’s audience is adult.
* Children watch Cartoon Network for around 40 minutes in the morning and 50 minutes in the evening, with the highest audience at the weekend.
The key finding for TNT include:
* 43% of adult receivers in Europe watch TNT.
* On average, viewers watch just over two films a week on TNT.
The survey also revealed that:
* 30% have a television in the children’s bedroom, of which 17% are connected to cable and satellite.
* The vast majority of parents agreed that children influenced their choice of brand of food, drinks and clothes and over 60% agreed that television advertising influenced their child as to which brand of goods to ask their parents for.
