Too Much Sex In Neighbours

Viewers have complained about the sexual themes and innuendo of Neighbours, the Broadcasting Standards Council has reported.

Viewers believed that an episode of the soap was inappropriate for children’s viewing and promoted promiscuity. In particular they complained about scenes in a motel room featuring Annalise and Sam. The complaints were not upheld because the BSC believed the themes were handled responsibly and did not go beyond acceptable limits.

Complaints on the grounds of taste and decency were also lodged against the Big Breakfast for showing a female presenter simulating an orgasm and against the Sekonda Watches ad which showed Sir John Betjeman saying he had not had enough sex. These complaints were not upheld.
