Total Film Unveils New Look

Future Publishing’s flagship film magazine Total Film has unveiled a new look and increased editorial content in a bid to strengthen its position in the competitive UK film magazine market.

As part of the revamp, Total Film is giving its logo a bold new look as well as increasing its pagination and launching a new supplement called Total Access.

Total Access will be 16 pages long and contain a first look at upcoming films, the latest news on castings and development. The supplement will also harness the public’s seemingly endless desire for celebrity news with a section dedicated to the rich and famous at celebrity premieres and parties.

Other changes to the magazine include a refocused news section called “rough cut”, which takes a slightly more lifestyle focused approach to film, including interviews and features. There will also be a “new films” section dedicated to upcoming releases.

The magazine’s DVD review segment has also been revamped and will become its own dedicated section, split between new releases and classic re-releases. Spin has been redesigned to feature a significantly greater number of reviews, again underlining the importance of DVDs to film lovers.

Commenting on the new format, Simon Maxwell, publisher of Total Film, said: “In its new guise Total Film exudes an incredible amount of confidence and energy, which not only enables the magazine to strengthen its position within the market, but also presents the reader with a fresh and exciting insight into the glamorous world of film.”

The new look January issue of Total Film, will contain 164 pages and a covermounted calendar, with a cover price of £3.10.
