The first broadcast of an ITV programme live on the Internet, Carlton’s music programme Videotech, has been sponsored by Tower Records. This is the first time Tower Records has sponsored a programme on the World Wide Web.
The webcast, which was broadcast on Thursday 27 November at the same time as the programme went out in the Carlton, Central and Westcountry regions, will be repeated on Thursday 4,11,18 December at 10.40 pm.
In further co-operation between Carlton and Tower, Videotech will have window presence, in-store promotion, and competitions throughout their outlets in the Carlton region during March.
Fiona Sturley, marketing director at Tower Records said: “We see the Internet as an important medium, and are keen to support innovative and exciting opportunities, such as the one presented by Carlton.”
