Lehman Brothers International have issued a confidential Information Memorandum to registrars interested in the Home Service and World Service Transmission areas of the BBC. The memorandum describes the businesses for sale, proposed terms of sale and key investment considerations for the Transmission arm, which deals with the development and delivery of broadcasting services.
Bob Phillis, deputy director general of the BBC commented: “BBC Transmission is a unique business – with motivated, experienced and skilled employees, and an extensive network of transmitter sites – which, following the sale, will continue to benefit from close working relationships with the BBC.”
