NetChannel, the Internet television service, will be adding a UK travel site to its package. Travel-UK, which launched earlier this year as a travel information resource, will now join the likes of What’s On Stage? , Ad Hunter , HealthNet and Loot , which NetChannel subscribers can view via their TV sets. Other facilities offered by NetChannel, which launched in the UK at the end of October, include online shopping and e-mail addresses.
NetChannel’s nearest rival in the UK is WebTV, which offers a similar service but has not yet launched a full service. At the moment it is conducting trials which are due to last until next Spring.
