Trevor Johnson, global head of commercial partnership solutions at TikTok, has left the company after five years.
Messages to Johnson’s email receive a bounceback saying he has left the social platform. The message added that he has “been fortunate to help shape, grow and eventually hand over two incredible teams” and that he leaves “on a high, knowing that strong foundations are in place”.
TikTok confirmed the departure to The Media Leader but did not comment further. Johnson declined to comment.
There is no information on Johnson’s replacement at this stage.
Johnson joined TikTok in 2020 as head of marketing for global business solutions, EUI, with his remit spanning Creative Lab, B2B marketing and communications, brand strategy, marketing operations and partnership solutions.
He took on his current role in June 2024.
Before TikTok, Johnson spent 12 years at Meta, most recently as EMEA director of market operations at Instagram. His most significant spell at the company was as director of global agency development at Facebook — a role he held for almost eight years.
Johnson’s media career also includes a stint at AOL.
In March, Lucy Banks, head of partnership solutions, global business marketing, Europe, who worked closely with Johnson, left the company after three years. This was followed a month later by the exit of vice-president for sales, Europe, Stuart Flint.
Johnson is a founding member of The Media Leader Club.
