Trinity International has said that it intends to buy Dublin-based Post Publications for £4.9m. Post publishes The Sunday Business Post, which has a circulation of around 42,000. The deal is subject to approval by the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment in Ireland.
Trinity appears keen to take a dominant position in the Irish regional newspaper business with the Sunday Business Post complementing the Belfast Telegraph and other titles it bought from Thomson in 1995 (subscribers see Trinity And Thomson Papers Deal).
