Trinity Given Argus Go-Ahead

The Monopolies and Mergers Commission has given its consent to Trinity International taking over Argus Newspapers, published in South London, Surrey and Berkshire, and the daily Huddersfield Examiner and other weekly newspapers owned by Joseph Woodhead in Yorkshire. This increases Trinity’s share of regional and local newspapers from 3.5% to 5.3%.

COMPUTING GAINS ACCESS TO US NEWS

Computing and Connexion, both published by VNU Business Publications Ltd, have linked up with IDG, the US’s largest IT publisher. Computing will have access to the IDG global news database.
