Trinity Mirror Solutions makes two new senior hires

Emma Callaghan joins Trinity as one of the three new agency hub group account directors.

PHD’s Emma Callaghan and Bauer Media’s Darren Coomansingh have joined Trinity Mirror Solutions as agency hub group account directors.

The appointments are the latest in a long line of hires made since James Wildman took over as chief revenue officer a year ago, with a focus on transforming the team from a product-vertical sales team to a cross-channel and cross-brand sales service.

Callaghan, who will start in her role this month, began her career in the press team at PHD and progressed to account director in the investment team in her seven year tenure, responsible for planning and buying across travel, technology, charity and retail brands.

Coomansingh, who joins in July, started his career at UTV’s talkSPORT before moving to the agency side with ZenithOptimedia and then Bauer Media (then EMAP) 10 years ago.

Callaghan and Coomansingh will join Clare Gledhill, an internal promotion from within the Trinity Mirror group, who took her role as group account director earlier this year.

Andy Atkinson, sales director at Trinity Mirror Solutions, said that he feels “confident about the road ahead.”

“We’ve had a massive turnaround in the last 12 months and are confident that with our most recent hires, we’ve got the right structure in place to help continue to drive positive change in our business,” Atkinson said.

“Clare, Darren and Emma will lead our Agency teams brilliantly – we’re lucky to have them.”
