Trinity Mirror Unveils Results Of Readership Survey

Trinity Mirror has unveiled the results of its regional press readership survey, which studied the habits of regional press readers, highlighting the areas in which the medium comes out on top as compared to other media.
A total 17,600 adults were interviewed and the results showed the regional press ahead of other media when it comes to looking for cars, homes and jobs. It also scored well for information about leisure activities and buying products for the home.
Nearly 58% of all adults within research areas claim to read an average issue of a Trinity Mirror publication, compared to 45% who listen to local radio.
Mike McCormack, chief executive of Amra, said: “Coupled with traditional information sources, the research will equip Amra with a treasure chest of data to provide an advice source for all media strategists, planners and buyers and to go after new revenue areas. We will be able to work closely with advertisers, preparing responses to briefs that provide more detailed information on why they should be using the medium.”
