TSMS Goes Interactive
The UK’s largest TV air-time sales house, TSMS, is launching a new media sales and marketing house aimed at the interactive market. The new division, TSMS Interactive or TSMSi, is hoping to help advertisers promote their interactive media. TSMSi will be concerned with the Internet, CD-Roms, interactive TV, company Intranets and kiosks. The new division is headed by Paul Simon, the general manager.
TSMSi claim that its service will be unique, as they are the first major sales house to expand into new media, TSMSi has the advantage of a huge contact list. Paul Simon told Newsline that TSMS currently has over 1000 blue-chip clients. The company will be concentrating on persuading its air-time TV sales clients to advertise across the new media.
The service will start-off with a series of demographic packages; for example, the music-youth package will feature a few different music web sites. This new approach hopes to offer new media advertisers a demographic choice in their buying decision
This follows Friday’s news that Emap would be launching an Internet sales house EMAP Creates Web Sales House.
