TSMS To Monitor Advertising Effectiveness
TSMS are to monitor advertising effectiveness in a 2 year project with TN AGB, on behalf of Meridian. TVSPAN will measure both television viewing and product purchasing in 750 households in the Meridian region
The system will record which programmes viewers watch and their reactions to different advertising campaigns. Advertising content, length, frequency and time shown will be among the factors evaluated. TSMS will use the data to improve the targeting of schedules and advertisers will be able to evaluate all fmcg purchases.
The project will use TV set meters in existing Superpanel homes. The Superpanel is TN AGB’s consumer panel measurement in 10,000 households across the UK. The first results from TVSPAN will be available early next year.
