Tube Reappoints Carlson

The London Underground, which is the world’s largest transport system, has reappointed Carlson Marketing Group as its booking agent and facilitator for field sales. Carlson has held the contract, involving research into marketing opportunities on the Tube, for the past eight years.
Brona Connolly, head of field marketing at Carlson said of her company’s research into the Tube’s 3 million daily users: ” Not only can we ascribe all the major stations with a reliable demographic insight but we can also chart users likely mind state, which is of course time and date specific. When combined with a creative execution the strategic value of such a uniquely tangible, timely and targeted initiative is manifest”.
Carlson offers targetable criteria for field marketers including people types, acitivity, timing and moments such as “post work Friday hiatus” and “Monday morning blues”.
