The Media Leader attended this week’s Tuning In event, which underlined radio’s enduring resilience, audio’s growing digital future and its effectiveness in omnichannel campaigns.

Key speakers at the Radiocentre event included Donna Burns, the organisation’s head of insight. She unveiled research that challenges traditional attribution approaches to calculating radio’s effect on online performance, suggesting it is more effective at uplifting web response than previously thought.

Amanda Holden, Jamie Theakston and Pippa Taylor from Heart also featured, discussing the importance of broadcast radio in connecting the nation.

Additionally, Diane Morgan joined a session to speak about her involvement in Radiocentre’s “Advertising Amplified” campaign along with Sean Carnegie, managing director at Radioville, who gave tips on creating standout audio ads and choosing voice actors.

The event finished with a session from Radiocentre’s planning director, Mark Barber, and Jane Christian, lead of analytics and insights at EssenceMediacom, who highlighted the value of multiplatform audio for driving campaign return on investment through their new research High Gain Audio.
