Revenue Total terrestrial television revenue for January 2000 (including GMTV) came in at £223.0 million, according to agency estimates. The ITV Network’s revenue was up 12.8% on January 1999; Channel 4’s revenue was up 9.8% and Channel 5 saw its ad revenue grew annually by 24.3%. GMTV revenue, meanwhile, dropped back by 10.3% and total satellite revenue rose by 33.2%.
Commercial Impacts January was another poor month for ITV in terms of commercial impacts, with all audience categories showing a decline. ABC1 impacts fell by 6.9% year on year. Channels 4 and 5 and Total Satellite, by contrast, all saw their impacts increase across all audience types.
Costs Per Thousand Costs are up considerably in January 2000 for ITV, with the ABC1 Adults category CPT rising by 21.2%. Other audience types showed similar increases. Meanwhile, the cost of reaching ABC1 Adults on Channel 4 dropped by 1.4%. C5’s costs grew in all audience categories bar Men, which fell 1.4%.
