TV Overnights: 14.4m watch X Factor results show

Sunday’s X Factor results show picked up a peak of 14.4 million viewers, all watching in anticipation to see if Jedward could squeeze out of the bottom two once again.

However, it turned out to be the day the music died for the Irish twins, with Olly being saved by the judges.

Following straight on from the results show last night was I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, which hit a peak of 10.3 million viewers.

Katie Price was once again up for a bushtucker trial, with an average of 10 million – a 34.1% share of viewers – sticking with the show for its hour long running time.

Saturday’s X Factor had a peak of 13.7 million viewers – a 51.4% share – with the contestants performing George Michael songs.

At the start of the weekend it was the BBC’s annual Children in Need charity shindig, on from 7pm until way past my bedtime.

A peak of almost 11.9 million viewers tuned into the early part of the show, on until 10pm before breaking for the news.
