BBC One’s The Deep won the peak slot of 9pm to 10pm once again last night, with 3.8 million viewers and a 16.4% share. This is significantly down from last week’s audience of 4.5 million viewers, and an average 19.8% share.
TV came in second with long-running police drama The Bill, which managed 3.2 million viewers, and a 13.9% share – slightly up on last week’s 2.9 million viewers, and 12.8% share.
Meanwhile, Five’s CSI: Miami secured 2.1 million viewers and a 9.2% share, and Channel 4’s Who Knows Best? achieved an audience of 1.7 million viewers, and a 7.3% share.
BBC Two’s comedy double bill consisted of That Mitchell and Webb Look (9pm to 9.30pm), which attracted 1.5 million viewers and a 6.3% share, and Shooting Stars (9.30pm to 10pm), which secured 1.6 million viewers, and a 6.8% share.
BBC One won the 8pm to 9pm slot, with Holby City achieving an average audience of 5.5 million, and a 24.4% share.
The 7pm to 8pm slot was split between ITV1’s Emmerdale (7.pm to 7.30pm), which had 5.9 million viewers and a 31.2% share, and BBC One’s Eastenders (7.30pm to 8pm), which attracted 8.1 million viewers and a 39.5% share.
BBC One won most of the slots during the morning television schedule, with BBC Two taking over in the afternoon.
