TV Overnights: BGT banks 9.5m viewers

ITV1’s Britain’s Got Talent attracted a high of more than 9.5 million viewers during the all-important prime time slot last night.

The second live-final pulled in over 8.5 million average viewers and a 36.4% audience share for ITV between 7.30pm and 9pm, before Corrie secured 9.2 million viewers and a 37.1% share in the 9pm to 9.30pm slot.

The BGT results show, on between 9.30pm and 10pm, achieved the top ratings with an average audience of 8.2 million viewers.

On BBC One, the Undercover Care – The Abuse Exposed Panorama special picked up more than 3.1 million average viewers and a 12.5% audience share in the 9pm to 10pm peak hour.

At the same time, BBC Two’s The Country House Revealed proved to be a popular choice – with 1.7 million average viewers and a 7.2% share.

Meanwhile, Channel 4’s final The Secret Millionaire attracted over a million viewers and Channel 5’s CSI: Crime Scene Investigation banked 1.2 million viewers.
