TV Overnights: Crimewatch Solved wins the peak hour with over 4 million viewers

BBC One’s Crimewatch Solved won the peak hour of 9pm to 10pm last night, with an audience of just over 4 million and a share of 17.9%.

This was despite competition from ITV1’s Agatha Christie’s Poirot, airing from 8pm to 9pm. The mystery drama attracted 2.8 million viewers and a 12.6% share.

Elsewhere, BBC Two’s Alex Higgins: The People’s Champion secured 2.7 viewers and a 12.1% share, and Channel 4’s The Hunt for Britain’s Sex Traffickers achieved 1.8 million viewers and a 7.8% share.

Five’s NCIS managed 1.5 million viewers, and a 6.9% share.

Earlier in the evening, BBC One’s Waterloo Road won its 8pm to 9pm slot with an audience of just under 5 million viewers, and a 22.8% share.

ITV1’s Emmerdale won its 7pm to 7.30pm slot with 6.4 million viewers and a 34.1% share, and BBC One’s Saints and Scroungers won its 7.30pm to 8pm slot with 4.3 million viewers and a 22.6% share.

BBC One won the highest ratings for morning and early afternoon as usual, with BBC Two, ITV1 and Channel 4 sharing the late afternoon slots.
