I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!

ITV1’s I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here! slipped down to 8.2 million viewers during the all-important 9pm to 10pm peak-hour last night.

However, the reality show still managed to secure the highest ratings compared to its rival terrestrial channels during the hour-long slot, pulling in 8.1 million average viewers and a 32.4% audience share.

BBC One’s special Children in Need Rocks the Royal Albert Hall didn’t come far behind though.  The star-studded concert in aid of the charity attracted 6.3 million peak viewers and a 24.6% average audience share between 8pm and 10pm.

Elsewhere, BBC Two’s Natural World, a documentary narrated by Lenny Henry looking at the Black Mamba snake, picked up 1.3 million average viewers and a 5.3% audience share during the 9pm to 10pm peak slot.

However, Channel 4’s Cutting Edge documentary Confessions of a Traffic Warden was hot on its heels with 1.1 million average viewers and a 4.7% share.

Five’s 9 o’clock film starring Clint Eastwood In the Line of Fire, meanwhile, attracted 1 million average viewers and a 5.4% audience share between 9pm and 11.40pm.

Earlier on in the evening, ITV1’s soap run managed to steal the peak ratings away from BBC One’s Children in Need event.  Emmerdale pulled in 7 million average viewers between 8pm and 8.30pm, followed by Coronation Street‘s 8.8 million average viewers between 8.30pm and 9pm.
