I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! continues to boost ITV1’s prime time ratings. Last night, the channel secured the all-important peak audience from 7pm onwards with an hour-long Emmerdale, a trip to Coronation Street and a 90-minute episode of the latest I’m a Celeb series.
A high of almost nine million viewers tuned in to catch up with the gossip from day five in the jungle. The reality show attracted more than 8.2 million average viewers and a 32.5% audience share during the 8.30pm to 10pm slot.
Earlier on, ITV1’s Emmerdale secured 7.3 million peak viewers during the 7pm to 8pm slot, before Jack’s funeral pulled in nine million peak viewers to Coronation Street between 8pm and 8.30pm.
Over on BBC One, Have I Got News For You attracted over four million viewers during the first half of the 9pm to 10pm peak-hour, while the final Reggie Perrin starring Martin Clunes picked up 2.7 million average viewer during the second half.
BBC Two also split the peak-hour schedule, airing Autumnwatch 2010 from 8.30pm and Autumnwatch Unsprung from 9.30pm onwards. Both programmes pulled in an average audience of 1.8 million viewers during the 9pm to 10pm slot. At the same time, the sixth episode of The Secret Millionaire banked more than 1.6 million viewers and a 6.7% average audience share for Channel 4.
Meanwhile, Channel 5’s peak-hour film In the Line of Fire with Clint Eastwoord and John Malkovich attracted an average audience of one million viewers and a 5.2% share between 9pm and 11.35pm.
