TV Overnights: Law & Order: UK wins the peak hour

ITV1’s Law & Order: UK won the peak hour of 9pm to 10pm last night with 4.8 million viewers and a 21.4% share.

BBC One’s Small Teen, Big World came in second with an audience of 2.8 million and a share of 12.2%.

Elsewhere, BBC Two’s Gareth Malone’s Extraordinary School For Boys secured 2.3 million viewers and a 10.3% share, and Five’s 9/11 Crime Scene Investigation attracted 1.6 million viewers and a 7.3% share.

Channel 4’s Alan Davies’ Teenage Revolution managed to win an audience of 1.5 million, and gained a share of 6.9%.

Earlier in the evening, ITV1 won the 8pm to 9m slot with Emmerdale (8pm to 8.30pm) winning 6.6 million viewers and a 30.6% share, and Coronation Street (8.30pm to 9pm) securing 7.5 million viewers and a 32.5% share.

ITV1’s Emmerdale won its 7pm to 7.30pm slot with just over 6 million viewers and a 32.1% share, and BBC One’s Eastenders won its 7.30pm to 8pm slot with 8.4 million viewers and a 41% share.

BBC One won the highest ratings for the morning and early afternoon slots as usual, with BBC Two taking over later on in the day.
